BIOGRAPHY

​

Seb Michel is a Swiss photographer born in 1976.

 

From an early age, Seb Michel was introduced to the world of photography. After spending his teenage years experimenting with his first film camera – a gift from his father at the age of 12 – he quickly discovered the strong potential of this medium as a means of expression and communication.

 

Graduating from CEPV in Vevey in 1998 after a dual training program, he joined LE STUDIO PRODUCTION in Geneva where he specialized in fashion and advertising photography. His collaborations with international agencies and magazines over a decade attest to his talent and professionalism. Enriched by this extensive experience, he now aspires to explore more personal and intimate projects, marking a new creative phase in his career.

 

Since 2012, he has been working in his own studio in Lausanne.

 

His interest in a more personal artistic approach has intensified, leading him to develop photographic series characterized by a minimalist approach. Through carefully constructed scenes, his work examines human relationships and interactions between man and his environment. While Seb uses photography as the final medium, his creative process incorporates a sculptural dimension, considering the creation of the image itself as an essential part of the work. His work thus reflects a constant quest for beauty and meaning, with a unique aesthetic signature.
